"“Alley Walkers” offers more raw skin crawls... extensive servings of spiraling drone and carbonated dankness." - Mike Haley via Tabs Out

Third (or so) cassette by this Indiana quartet who also had a single on American Tapes. You should no infer from this, however, that there's much harsh noise to be had here. At certain points the sonics and aura get ramped up pretty high but most of this reminds me of the kinds of things that early Throbbing Gristle and their ilk were up to, before industrial music grew beats and goiters. There's nice variation between the tracks, and most of the sounds are murkily psychedelic in the truest sense of the term. There are squeedles in the air, voices emerging from unexpected places, and a deep sense of disorientation. Quite trippy, albeit in a dark ass way. - Byron Coley via The Wire
I don't really fuck with "noise" - had some bad purchases/reactions in my youth which really bummed me out and I never recovered. The thing with the noise genre is, the releases almost always look cool as fuck, so to a young RK who had no internet and knew jack shit, if something looked that cool it must sound cool too, right? Fuuuuck no. In recent years I have dabbled a bit with some Dilloway and some Olson, and have been rewarded. I feel okay about noise again. Hey, this Doberman tape looks cool as hell - and it delivers the goods too. 40+ minutes in the zone. I mean, I'm not jamming this on the regular, but it's a good go-to when you wanna get gone. First half or so sounds like youre trapped inside an iron lung - that's the trick with noise shit right, trying to put yourself in the tune and figure out some scenario as to what's emotions/imagery it brings out for you - at least that's how I do it. The second setion half is some industrial sci-fi nightmare zapper and the last part is me watching the sun set on Mars. Or walking through a masoleum waiting for a Phantasm ball to get me. Fuckkkkk. - (RK) via Terminal Boredom
